The Senior Renewal Center at St. Vincent Jennings will give area seniors a new outlet to navigate the many changes and life events that take place after retirement. Visits to the center are covered by Medicare and will include transportation, therapeutic small group discussions and the opportunity to socialize and eat a meal with other Center visitors. Individual counseling and family counseling sessions are also available.
The St. Vincent Jennings Senior Renewal Center welcomes referrals and will conduct an at-home assessment to determine frequency of visits (up to three visits per week) and services that will best meet an individual's unique health care needs. The Center is open Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. EST. Staff consists of a medical director, program director, licensed therapist, nurse and tech assistant/driver.
In addition to the new Senior Renewal Center, St. Vincent Jennings provides area residents access to rehabilitation therapy, emergency services, surgery and immediate care. The faith-based-hospital is also home to one of five air ambulance bases, connecting the critical access hospital's patients to the highly specialized services at St.Vincent, such as cardiovascular, neuroscience, pediatric, women's and orthopedic care.
